Breathing that keeps going wrong.
Asthma, bronchitis, a cough that never quite finishes, sinusitis that returns every time the weather turns. The pattern usually matters more than the label.

Why the same chest trouble keeps coming back
Most respiratory complaints are not one event. They are a pattern that repeats, usually around the same triggers: a change of season, dust, a period of stress, or an infection that never fully cleared.
Conventional treatment is very good at opening an airway quickly, and in an acute attack that is exactly what is needed. What it is not designed to do is change how readily your airway reacts in the first place. That gap is where people get stuck in a cycle of relief and return.
Classical homoeopathy works at the level of that reactivity. The aim is not to suppress the cough faster. It is to understand why your system responds this way and to treat the person underneath the pattern.
What Dr. Aarti actually asks about
A respiratory case is rarely solved from the chest alone. In a first consultation she will usually want to know:
- The timing. Worse at night, on waking, in a particular season, or after a specific exposure.
- The character. Dry or loose, wheezing or blocked, and what makes it better or worse.
- The history. What you had as a child, what was suppressed, and what came before the breathing trouble started.
- The rest of you. Sleep, appetite, temperature preference, energy and stress, because a constitutional picture is built from all of it.
- Everything you are already taking. Inhalers, antihistamines, steroids and antibiotics, so that nothing is stopped blindly.
On inhalers and steroids
Nobody at this clinic will tell you to stop an inhaler or a prescribed steroid. That decision belongs to the doctor who prescribed it, and stopping suddenly can be dangerous in asthma.
What can be discussed, over time and with your treating doctor in the loop, is whether your reliance on rescue medication changes. That is a conversation based on how you are actually doing, never a promise made in advance.
Some breathing symptoms need urgent medical assessment. If any of these apply, go to a doctor or a hospital first. This page is not the right place to start.
- Severe breathlessness, or breathlessness at rest
- Lips or fingertips turning blue or grey
- An asthma attack that a rescue inhaler is not relieving
- Chest pain, especially with sweating or pain into the arm or jaw
- Coughing up blood
- A cough lasting more than three weeks with fever, night sweats or weight loss, which needs tuberculosis to be ruled out
- High fever with rapid breathing in a child or an elderly person
What the first consultation looks like
- Deep case taking, 90 minutes. The complaint, the history, and everything around it. Bring your reports and a list of everything you take.
- Constitutional remedy. One remedy chosen for you rather than for the diagnosis on your file.
- Lifestyle protocol. Built from your own case, covering the things that actually hold the pattern in place.
- Review. Progress is judged on how you are and what your reports show, with your treating doctor still in the picture.
Common questions
Can homoeopathy replace my inhaler?
No, and you should not treat it that way. An inhaler is rescue medication and stopping it without your doctor can be dangerous. Homoeopathy is used alongside your existing treatment, and any change to prescribed medicine is a decision for the doctor who prescribed it.
How long does treatment take?
It depends entirely on the person, how long the pattern has been there and what else is going on. Nobody here can honestly give you a number before taking your case, and you should be cautious of anyone who does.
Is homoeopathy safe for children?
Homoeopathic remedies are given in very small doses and are generally well tolerated. That said, a child with a breathing problem should always be assessed properly first, and any red flag symptom needs a doctor the same day.
My sinusitis comes back every winter. Is that treatable?
A seasonal pattern is useful information rather than a dead end, because it tells the practitioner something specific about how your system reacts. Whether treatment helps in your particular case can only be judged after a full case taking.
Do I need to stop my other medicines before starting?
No. Come as you are, with a list of everything you take. Nothing gets stopped without the involvement of the doctor who prescribed it.
