Hormones that stopped behaving.
PCOS, a thyroid that will not settle, cycles that arrive when they feel like it, and the weight, mood and hair changes that come with all of it. This is the area Dr. Aarti is asked about most.

Conditions in this area
- Polycystic ovary syndrome
- Thyroid imbalance
- Irregular and absent periods
- Painful periods
- Heavy menstrual bleeding
- Menopausal symptoms
Why this is treated as a whole system
Hormones do not work as separate switches. The thyroid, the ovaries, the adrenal response to stress and the way the body handles insulin are all in the same conversation.
That is why PCOS so rarely arrives on its own. It usually comes with some combination of weight that will not shift, fatigue, mood changes, skin trouble and hair changes, and treating those one at a time can feel like a losing game.
Classical homoeopathy is aimed at the whole picture rather than the individual complaints, which is one reason a first consultation here takes 90 minutes rather than ten.
Working alongside your gynaecologist and physician
This matters more in this area than almost any other. Thyroid medication and hormonal treatment are prescribed on the basis of blood results, and those results need to keep being monitored.
Nobody at this clinic will ask you to stop thyroid medication, come off contraception, or skip a scan. If your treating doctor has recommended monitoring, keep going with it. Homoeopathic treatment runs alongside that, and your reports are welcome in the consultation.
It is also worth saying plainly that homoeopathy does not replace fertility treatment. If you are trying to conceive and have been advised to see a specialist, please do.
What a case taking covers
- The full cycle history. When it started, how it has changed, and what a typical month actually looks like now.
- The symptoms around it. Pain, flow, clotting, and what happens in the days before.
- Everything that came with it. Weight, energy, hair, skin, sleep, temperature and mood.
- Your reports. Thyroid function, ultrasound findings and hormone panels, if you have them.
- Stress and life circumstances, which in hormonal cases are rarely incidental.
- Everything you take, including contraception and supplements.
Some gynaecological and hormonal symptoms need medical assessment quickly. Please see a doctor first if you have:
- Bleeding so heavy that you are soaking through protection every hour, or passing large clots
- Any bleeding after the menopause
- Bleeding after intercourse, or bleeding between periods that is new
- Severe sudden pelvic pain, especially with faintness, which can indicate an ectopic pregnancy
- A breast lump, skin dimpling, or nipple discharge
- A rapidly growing swelling in the neck, or a thyroid problem with palpitations, tremor and severe weight loss
- Fever with pelvic pain and unusual discharge
- Any pregnancy related symptom you are worried about
What the first consultation looks like
- Deep case taking, 90 minutes. The complaint, the history, and everything around it. Bring your reports and a list of everything you take.
- Constitutional remedy. One remedy chosen for you rather than for the diagnosis on your file.
- Lifestyle protocol. Built from your own case, covering the things that actually hold the pattern in place.
- Review. Progress is judged on how you are and what your reports show, with your treating doctor still in the picture.
Common questions
Can homoeopathy reverse PCOS?
PCOS is a long term condition that is managed rather than reversed, and it is worth being careful with anyone who claims otherwise. Classical homoeopathy approaches it constitutionally, alongside the lifestyle work and the medical monitoring your doctor advises.
Should I stop my thyroid tablet?
No. Thyroid medication is prescribed and adjusted on the basis of blood tests, and stopping it without your doctor can be genuinely harmful. Keep taking it and keep testing as advised.
Can this help me conceive?
Fertility is complex and depends on many factors in both partners. Homoeopathy does not replace fertility investigation or treatment. If you have been trying for a while, please see a specialist as well.
Will my periods become regular?
That cannot be promised in advance. What can be said is that the cycle is treated as part of the whole picture rather than in isolation, and that progress is judged on your own reports and how you actually feel.
Is it safe during pregnancy?
Anything taken during pregnancy should be discussed with your obstetrician, including homoeopathic remedies. Please tell the clinic if you are pregnant or trying to conceive.
